Dog Bed
We understand the importance of rest for our dogs and offer a wide range of dog beds to suit all breeds and homes. Of course, with so much choice where do you begin and how do you know if the dog bed you’re choosing is the right one for your little furry friend?
Dogs are full of energy, always eager to explore, dart about, play and sniff anything new to them but of course it’s important that they get their rest too. Owners can help their dogs get a comfortable break by offering a quiet and undisturbed area for their pet but also by providing them with an inviting and well-suited dog bed.
First off, it’s important to make sure you get the right sized bed for your dog allowing them to comfortably lie down in all-natural positions. Like us, dogs love a good stretch so a dog bed that allows for them to easily do so will impact the size you’ll need. A small dog bed will suit the likes of a smaller breed such as a terrier or papillon while something in a medium size works for breeds like corgis, Beagles and Cocker Spaniels
Anything bigger and of course a large dog bed is the way to go (although if you wish to spoil a smaller dog with a larger bed then they’ll appreciate the extra space too).
Dogs with specific needs are also catered to with special beds that make them feel safe and relaxed. Older dogs or those with aches and joint problems may benefit more from an orthopaedic dog bed or one with memory foam that can make it easier for them to get in and out of. If your dog is particularly shy then consider an ‘igloo’ shaped bed they can hide away in when feeling particularly anxious.
Our dog beds come in different sizes but of course shapes and designs vary too, each offering varying effects on your dog’s rest. Rounded dog beds with sides are perfect for dogs that love to curl up during sleep whereas mattress-like beds offer little restriction making them great for stretching out. Meanwhile some designs are well-suited to keeping our dogs warm during those cold winter nights and cooler during the summer.
Dog beds come in a range of materials and colours that even make coordinating with your home’s design easy. If you’re after something that goes with the grey colour scheme of your living room, they we’ve got you covered. If you want something a little more rustic and traditional then a wicker dog bed can offer that vibe.
Lucky enough to have more than one dog? Then make sure you have at least one dog bed per dog. While dogs tend to enjoy cuddling up together, it’s also important to make sure they have the option of a bed for themselves.
Our dog beds are the perfect way to keep your pup feeling safe and comfortable whether it’s by rewarding them with one of our more luxurious options or allowing them the most relaxing naps through their golden years with our orthopaedic range.
